Why do you charge for shipping?
We charge a $5.00 flat rate shipping on all orders. Why? Shipping has become expensive like all other things right now. Even with the flat rate we still incur shipping charges. As a small roaster that adds up and hurts. People ask for discounts on the larger size bags, but we already discount our 2lb and 5lb bags with the prices listed. If and when shipping rates change for the better, we will do our best to adjust accordingly.
When do subscriptions ship?
All subscription plans bill and ship on the same fixed schedule for every customer. We bill every 2nd or 4th Monday and ship on the Thursday after billing.
The subscription billing schedule through April 2024 is as follows:
Every 2 Weeks Subscription billing schedule: 12/4, 12/18, 1/1, 1/15, 1/29, 2/12, 2/26, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22.
Every 4 Weeks Subscription billing schedule: 12/18, 1/15, 2/12, 3/11, 4/8, 5/6.
Our subscriptions are for either every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks. Depending which option you choose, you will be placed into that shipping cycle. If you have missed the cut-off date billing date, you will be placed into the NEXT BILLING & SHIPPING CYCLE. So it may take longer for you to obtain your first order if you’ve signed up after the billing date. You can always place a 1 time order from the websites main shopping page if you need a one-off order sooner.
Why does my plan (i.e Gidget 12 oz) on the checkout form have a $0.00 balance?
We use a third party subscription payment processing platform, which we have little control on the checkout page look and feel. Since we allow you to configure your subscription with as many bags as you like, we don’t know the end cost of your subscription when you select your plan (Gidget, Dude, or Shred) but we still have to have the plan set up in the processing application with a cost associated with it. So we set it up as zero. The price is accumulated during the survey portion of the checkout - that is when the quantities are determined. And the total price shows up in the Customizations line item. This is the way we have to use the platform in order to allow you to customize your plan. Other than that we would have to limit our plan offerings (like other coffee subscriptions) to 1 or 2 bags and pre-set the price. Most box-subscription services have a base price and then you add on extra items. We start with zero and allow you to add as you go! We think it gives you more flexibility and customization! So your total bag price is shown in the Customizations line item.
“Customizations” line item on the checkout form? And why does it show more quantities than the bags I ordered?
The terminology of this item on the checkout page is confusing. This number displayed for “Customizations” is an accumulation total for all of the answers that you are asked during the survey (or the questions that you are prompted for during checkout - such as the number of bags of beans you want from the different offerings (i.e. # of Point Break, # of Peru etc.), what type of grind, the special instructions and so forth). Each one of those answers is tallied and shows as the total in the Customizations line item. Unfortunately, we cannot change the wording. We are sorry if the terminology is confusing - it was to us at first too!

How do I pause my subscription?
Login to your account. Then under My Subscriptions click on “Manage” for the subscription you want to modify. If you only have 1 subscription, only 1 plan will show. Click on the “Pause” button next to “Need a break?”. Enter the date when you would like to re-start your subscription.
